Raising Kids

I would have to say that raising kids has to be the most confusing, but wonderful, time in my life. All of you veteran moms may be laughing at me, saying "yeah, been there, done that!"  But I really mean it.  The stage that Carter is at right now is so interesting.  It seems as though 3 weeks ago, I was battling frequent "tests."  He would test me on everything!! Then, it seemed as though a switch flipped (or maybe we just got more consistent on discipline).  Lately, he has been so happy, obedient, fearful (of being disciplined), and empathetic.  That's not to say that he's perfect, because we're still working on some areas with him and he still has some bad moments.  But we're getting there...I see the light. Everyone always told me and Jeremy, that it was just a phase (the longest phase of our lives, did I mention), so It's nice to see him on the other side of the toddler spectrum.

"God, please have Nate skip that stage, he's so wonderful and innocent right now....."
I know God doesn't always answer prayers the way you want Him to, but it's worth a shot!  :)

Whenever the kids do something a bit off, we like to say, "It's just a phase." Some phases last a bit longer and you pray they will go away soon.

You guys are doing a great job raising Carter and Nate.

Like Tabitha.....it's just a phase, thats what we always said and prayed that was all it was. You and Jeremy are doing a great job. Remember it's not the terrible twos....it's the
"TERRIFIC TWOS" Theres joy at every age. Enjoy it.

Plus it helps to read this everyday Psalm 100

God always answers our prayers....but sometimes it's no or wait.

Thank you Sherry and Tabitha for your encouragement!! I guess what I meant about God not answering prayers was that he does..but with the answer, "No" or "not right now." Either way, God has never failed me and He never will, so I'll trust that he will guide me throughout this time in my life. It sure is wonderful!!! :)
